Louie trys to net his Geansai Gorm

BlueJumper_DotNet has been registered by Louie at eire-webdesign.ie. Best of luck Louie.  I don’t see you in the SERP’s yet, but that doesn’t mean anything at this stage.

Jason Roe launches his geansai gorm site at bluejumperireland

Jason has gotten in on the act with the launch of bluejumperireland.com. However he had some DNS issues which may have lost him a critical day or two.  Some SEO heads claim that age of site is important, but over 5 weeks one day or two is unlikely to make a difference.  Jason, get those keywords and description tags in there, like every self-loving (oops meant respecting) SEO merchant would do.

More overtaking than the grand prix.

Some complain that with all the new rules, there isn’t much excitement in Grand Prix these days. The cars are so close that there is little overtaking going on .  The purists would disagree.

However in the Geansai Gorm contest the leader board is changing all the time, with the latest charge by bluejumperinirish to the top of the league (excluding Tom’s post which isn’t eligible).

The early days are irrelevant though because, as PR starts to get counted, the positions will become more static.

James Larkin is in second place with Taskdrop. Mybluejumper currently in third and Greybandit just behind him (I was going to say "bringing up the rear" - but for a number of reasons, didn’t).

Are Google in France ahead of us.

I did a search of the French site, google.fr for the phrase "Geansai Gorm".  Interestingly they had dropped the TomDoyle site down the rankings.  Is this a portent (I was going to say "a portent of things to come", but that’s a bit like saying "PIN number" or "deja vu all over again")?

It’s probably just because Tom’s site is seing to have specifically Irish content, Irish links etc, and google probably hasn’t geo-weighted the new Geansai Gorm sites.

Keith Donegan snaps up bluejumper dot info

Keith Donegan of http://www.keithdonegan.com/ fame has joined the fray with bluejumper Dot info.  Don’t see it appearing in the SERP’s yet…but Keith hasn’t put in his keyword tags in the header yet.  Get the finger out, only a month to go.  Remember keywords as gaeilge only.

Update: Keith runs http://www.eirestudio.net/ and has added the link with the text "we support Geansai Gorm".

TaskDrop jumps to first place

Well taskdrop has jumped to first place (when you take out www.tomdoyletalk.com/2008/10/29geansai-gorm-the-latest-greatest-seo-competition/ which doesn’t qualify.  Interestingly "my blue jumper" has dropped way down the list.  I think there’s a "new arrivals" boost given - which only seems to last a day or two, so I’ll expect taskdrop to fall back later.

Kae Verens - the Geansaist

Kae of verens.com, a coder extraordinaire has taken up the challenge with kae-sometimes-wears-a-blue-jumper DOT info.  Best of Luck Kae.

Person in Ireland goes for the Geansai

Gavin Duncan, an IT consultant in Dublin of "Ireland SEO Marketing Online" gets in on the act with Person In Ireland.  Curious title given the very on-message title of his website.  In any case Person in Ireland is in the charts i.e. is appearing in the Serps.

My BlueJumper

Paul Savage is in pole position with My Blue Jumper.  He got out of the block first and has a number of sites to lean on.  He obviously is pretty chummy with John O’Neill who runs backupanytime as he’s popped up with some support.

TaskDrop gets going

James Larkin (famous or what) of http://www.forbairt.ie/ has used a subtle link from his home page.  He’s also used a site called http://www.forbairtmarketing.com/ to help, and his other site iacceptcookies dot com.  Using the marketing blog is handy as it is probably something he can reuse after the event.
